Alex Tabarrok Receives Presidential Medal for Social Impact

George Mason University has awarded Alex Tabarrok the Earle C. Williams Presidential Medal for Faculty Excellence in Social Impact. The Office of the President sponsors this award annually to recognize a faculty member who serves the community, inspires students, and advances the quality of life in the region. The medal reflects the university's commitment to partnership between higher education and the broader region. The recipient stands as an example for the entire Mason community. The award includes $10,000 for scholarly activities.

Tabarrok holds the Bartley J. Madden Chair in Economics at the Mercatus Center and serves as a professor of economics at George Mason. He co-founded Marginal Revolution University with Tyler Cowen.
